Jim Pruett has been a member of the Riverfront Development Committee since 1999. He has also served as the Board President for the past 11 years. Jim helped Forrie Douglas, one of the founding members, install engraved bricks alongside the riverfront in the early 90’s. Jim expressed interest in being on the committee at that time. One evening, Forrie called and informed him that he had been voted in, that was nine years later. As a local real estate broker, Jim Pruett has an interest in the development of Madison’s riverfront. Jim’s expertise in real estate has been an asset to the Riverfront Development Committee and has helped guide their vision for the future of Madison’s riverfront.
John Bruns has been a member of the Madison Riverfront Development Committee since 2003. He has served in many compacities for the committee along with board Vice President for the past 10 years. John is also the President and Founder of Enviroscape, a full-service landscape design, build, and maintenance company here in Madison, Indiana. He has lived in Madison since 1980 and is a proud father of 2 children. His hobbies include boating and any outdoor activity.
JD Webster has been a member of the Madison Riverfront Development Committee since 2015. He is a second-generation board member and has served as the Board Treasurer and Secretary for the past 5 years. His primary responsibilities include oversite of both the Wine, Stein and Barrel and the Golf Cart/ UTV Poker Run Annual Fundraisers. JD is employed by DNV GL Accreditation and in his 13th year of employment as a Regional Sales Manager. He was born and raised in Madison, proud father of 3 children and an avid boater. JD also donates his time as a current board member at the Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County.
Joshua (Josh) Kunze is the newest member of the Madison Riverfront Development Committee Board and was appointed in March 2021. Josh is the CEO/President of Building Analysis Services (BAS) which was est. in 2017 and is currently helping with the design and oversight of The Super Overlook project. He also is assisting with both of the committees annual fundraisers and oversees the website. Josh is passionate about preserving Madison’s historical riverfront while enhancing it for the future.
Dr. Wall has served on the Madison Riverfront Development Committee since its inception in 1987 or past 35 years! He is the longest standing member of the MRDC and with the help of other local visionaries, he oversaw the transformation and placement of the first brick/sidewalk on our 1.5-mile famed walkway. He has been involved in every single project or decision over all these years’ and in his own words, “Very proud and excited about what has been accomplished, and what is yet to come. The development of Madison’s Riverfront is a tremendous asset to our community.” Dr. Wall has been in a resident of Madison since 1977 and opened his dental practice that same year. He retired in 2017 after spending 40 years treating the needs of his patients. Dr. Wall and his wife Christine, continue to support and are committed to Madison and Jefferson County. He sees the blending of the past, present, and future in Madison with tremendous potential and more improvements to come. The Riverfront is his passion, and it embodies the potential and vision for all of Madison and Jefferson County.
Kirk Grooms has been a member of the Madison Riverfront Development Committee from 2005 -2008 and 2014 to current. He has participated in many projects including oversight/instalment of bricks, section markers and both current annual fundraisers. Kirk has been employed by Indiana Kentucky Electric (IKE) for the past 29 years serving in the capacity of Maintenance Mechanic and retired in 2020. He is born and raised in Madison, proud parent of 2 children and 2 grandchildren and enjoys his favorite hobby... BOATING!
Mandy Finney is our newest member, joining as Administrative Assistant in May of 2021. Mandy assists in all fundraising events, general administration and bookkeeping for the Madison Riverfront Committee. Mandy was born and raised in the Madison area, graduate from Indiana University Southeast and has worked three years as a Financial Analysist for Morgan Foods Inc. She is excited to be apart of the committee and our continued efforts to preserve and beautify the Madison Riverfront.
